British scientists want to send two mini-spacecraft to explore Phobos and Deimos, the mysterious moons of Mars. The satellites, which are thought to be captured asteroids, have never received a direct mission - although passing US probes have taken images of them.TrackBack URL for this entry:

Isnt there an airplane that can fly 5000 miles per hour now? This is amazing. I beleive that if you use the current technology in a larger scale combined with russian electrothermal rockets. It would greatly improve the chances of getting more longevity. If cold fussion reaches ground breaking news then it even might be possible to have a less costly spacecraft that will fit into the governments budget so that they will not have to accept money from any public transportaion. Then Again Im sure we will have a world of improvements in every feild once that is achieved.

You are leaving out the Russian contribution; their probes have specifically targeted Phobos.

There's more then one country in space! Right now, since the United States of We Can't Deliver Human Payloads has failed miserably (again) at the shuttle launch pad, we are depending on these Russians exclusively these days.
