Scientists have learned from their mistakes on the five missions that have landed on Mars and now better know where to dig for Martian fossils or drill for frozen microbes, a NASA scientist said Thursday in Carson City. “The search for evidence of life on Mars is really a detective story,” said Christopher P. Are their earth analogues for "Blueberries" (olivine balls)? To my knowledge there are no sites in our desert regions exhibting such a record ... perhaps because the earth's atmosphere and weathering would preclude preservation of these "geological fossils".
If yes, where do they occur in similar concentrations, and what common processes and conditions can be credited as the source for these deposits?
