Five Thousand Articles

Posted by jburk to Website News at July 24, 2004 11:22 PM

MarsNews.com has just reached a significant milestone: our 5,000th article has been posted into the NewsWire Database, which contains 32 categories of Mars-related topics and contains articles as far back as 1977!

The NewsWire Database, which was founded in 1999 along with the website itself, places MarsNews.com onto a level above other space news sites. No other online media source offers a free, searchable catalog of stories about Mars with this volume of information.

Thanks for visiting MarsNews.com and we hope you will continue to enjoy all the news and background information that the site has to offer.

Congratulations Jim and a big thanx you deserve for the years of work, time, talent and resources put into giving the World Public a fantastic Mars site that gives a BALANCED presentation of what data there is out there. Something the JPL Press Release office always seems to have trouble doing concerning Cydonia on Mars.

Thanx...Congrats !

Thanks as well for the great web sites.
On a note of Moon and Mars.
After the Lunar Recon Orbitor has done it's study of the moon and Nasa has all the data that it would need. Could the unit be salvaged and used for Mars exploration doing the same as it had for the Moon with regards to mapping and such. Add a new booster stage and what ever else would be required and launch it on its way to save money and to speed up the process of getting us to Mars.
