The Mars Data Project is a new effort led by MarsNews.com to analyze raw data from Mars missions and advance the public's understanding of the planet Mars. Low-cost CD-ROMs containing raw data, software tools, and articles about Mars are available for purchase on this website. You can also join the Mars Data Project's discussion group to assist our exploration of Mars.

Volume One from the Mars Data Project features Raw data from the Mars Global Surveyor and Mars Odyssey missions and high-quality panoramic views of the Mars Pathfinder landing site. The CD-Rom also includes a selection of image processing and editing software. Articles providing examples and techniques for processing the data into high-quality images for analysis or artwork.

Volume Two - Coming Soon!

Volume Two will contain images & raw data from the Mars Exploration Rover missions.

All CD-ROMs are fully ISO9660 compliant and work on PC, Mac, and Unix computers.
