MARS DAY! is an annual NASM event that celebrates the Red Planet with a variety of educational and fun family activities. In 2004 MARS DAY! will be held on Friday, July 16. Scientists active in Mars research will be on hand to answer questions and describe current and future missions. Visitors will:

Learn about the mission of the new HiRISE instrument that will provide detailed images of Mars from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft.
See a real meteorite that came from Mars.
View the latest images just arrived from the Mars Odyssey mission.
See a full-scale model of the Mars Exploration Rovers currently on Mars.
View the surface of Mars in 3-D with red/blue glasses.
Play the Red Planet Quiz Show.
