Mars: Planet of War, Planet of Secrecy
Robert H. Williams
Since the beginning of time, Mars has captured humanity's collectively soul more than any other planet. As the God of War, Mars remains as enigmatic and secretive as War itself has become. As we move into the future encased in perpetual violent conflict, a cyclical loop in time where the making of war of humans upon humans repeats itself, Mars more than ever represents a mirror of the true nature in the meaning of humanity. A nature of warfare and of keeping secrets -- a sad and troublesome brutal truth. But it is true none-the-less, as we shall see.
Laying there in the Mensae of Cydonia is what appears to be a mile-and-a-half tall and a mile-wide HUMANOID FACE... staring into the cold indifferent stars. "A pile of rocks", NASA dismissively calls it, but the question is still an open one. This "pile of rocks" has what looks like a tear running down its cheek. Is it crying over the lost souls from so long ago? Is it crying for the souls of this planet, following a certain path of war on the truth about itself? For this alleged FACE is on the Planet of War, Mars. We modern humans didn't put it there, but yet, there it is. We need to take a deep breath, and get used to this seeming anomaly. Because like humans' inhumanity to their fellow humans, it may be a scary and sad fact, but fact and truth it remains.
NASA's History of Deception
Have NASA and their cohorts at JPL, MSSS, and ASU been up-front and honest about what they have been finding on Mars through the years? From the 1976 Viking image of the Face, which restarted the whole controversial issue about supposed "Ancient Martian Civilizations"
after the "Canali" had been properly refuted earlier, to the most recent Cydonia Mensae releases, including a modern daytime thermal infrared image of this enigmatic area; this ONE single area on Mars has been the MOST controversial, and therefore, in my opinion, the most "SIGNIFICANT" area of the planet for the general public. It has also apparently been the MOST lied about area by NASA and their cohorts than ANY other area on Mars; so it could be argued that's ANOTHER reason why this area deserves to be termed "significant". This term is important, as we will see.
From the 1976 Viking images of the Cydonia Mensae Face to the April 1998 imaging opportunity from the MGS MOC, there had been no publicly acknowledged successful attempt to re-image this enigmatic planet and this significant feature specifically. In all the years of hoopla leading up to the April 1998 opportunity, many people presented papers, books, videos, but more importantly, they made a priori predictions as to what a new imaging opportunity SHOULD show, if this feature was indeed, in fact, a FACE. These a priori predictions included eye sockets with eyeballs, an evenly spaced platform around the entire feature raised to a uniform height, that a nose ridge would extend down the middle of the feature and not be too long or too short, that at the proper end of this "ridge" there would be two nostrils, side by side and of equal size, not too big, not too small, i.e. not a random pile of rocks as if dumped from a giant dump-truck.
Well lo and behold, when the April 1998 image was released, WITH the raw and ancillary data, the folks at NASA did a "CATBOX" effort with the data (nicknamed because it looks more like what a cat would do with its litterbox than what Viking first showed us.) This "CATBOX" was fawned that off on the public and NASA said "See...nothing to see."
In fact they are STILL saying this so-called "CATBOX" effort is THE best effort they can do:
The media, and unfortunately many in the public, took NASA at their word that the image they presented was an HONEST representation of the raw data. It was not, as you can see from these enhancements from the raw data:
With the evidence of these (what I consider) true representations of the data, NASA and their cohorts intentionally misled the public with deception and lies. NASA continues to this day to release things that are not true representations of the data or in accordance with their own policies, procedures and promises. After that April 1998 release NASA and their cohorts (now including ASU) have NEVER released the raw ancillary data with a public relations press release on ANY spacecraft to Mars, for ANY image. They withheld scheduled releases from the public to the point where a campaign of faxes, emails, calls and messages to politicians and media had to be carried out, all the way including the then First Lady of the United States. (The link details my conversation with Hillary Clinton, and a subsequent release of data 36 hours later. Coincidence?)
My Personal Battles With NASA
I personally filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with NASA over the Cydonia Face release issues and 38 missing images from the MGS MOC volume MGSC_1013. This FOIA request, as it was worded, worried NASA so much they contacted NY State University Chancellor King who initiated actions which eventually led to my dismissal from Clinton Community College after 8 years of teaching, despite having the CCC President's written permission to conduct this inquiry under the auspices of the college. (See above link for all scanned documentation including NASA's inadequate response to the FOIA request.)
Academic freedom to pursue the truth behind NASA's actions was denied and has been stymied. As is major news media coverage of this enigmatic area; the news media in general who would pounce on any government abuse and fraud seem to ALWAYS turn a blind eye towards the misdeeds of NASA, despite the stacks of proof presented about their muddled MOLA and parallax releases -- these are not "peer review science", but public relations pap. There has been no scientific rebuttal that stands the tests of science and math to the many exposés (by Richard Hoagland, Mark Carlotto, and others) of NASA duplicity in their press releases, promises, and policies.
And it is unfortunate that this practice is continuing with the ASU Odyssey THEMIS mission and recent lateness in releasing the raw data from the THEMIS. As can be seen from the following, the due date for the first "data dump" from the Odyssey THEMIS spectrometer system was to happen August 18, 2002.
This document (and others in my article NASA Data Releases - Policies n Promises on my personal website) CLEARLY states that the first release of RAW data will occur "6 months from mission start". Hence since the mission started on February 18, 2002 (evidence also found in my article.) As of this writing, they are now 36 days late from the due date and counting... tick...tock...tick...
NASA's "War on Truth" Continues...
If you still discount the secrecy on the Face in Cydonia, consider this: with over 7 months of "science" we have yet to see a TRUE COLOR image, from ANYWHERE, of Mars. The first human eye true color camera system able to acquire such images and we have yet to see a single one, not even ONE? In seven months? Not even ONE?!?
It's brutal truth folks. Not even ONE single true color image from a true color camera system has been released. Why not? How "green" are those "blue-green" areas the Hubble seems able to see? How "blue" are those same "blue-green" areas that Hubble seems able to see clearly? The Odyssey spacecraft is orbiting Mars, the Hubble orbiting Earth. How come Odyssey can't seem to be able to "see" in the color spectrum it was designed for, and is on-station directly above the planet of interest?
And this "interest" now takes us to the beginning above about war and secrecy and back once more to the document about THEMIS promises:
As I'm sure you can see by now, this area called the Cydonia Mensae certainly qualifies as "significant". With the proven deception and policy violation by NASA and their cohorts, and the public interest in this area, it meets the "significant" criteria in every respect and thus we should be seeing every set of Cydonia images "using modern technologies to reach a wide audience..." and to "release significant data and findings immediately." Sadly this is NOT happening.
Is the TRUE COLOR of Mars a war secret? Are there "bad folks" hiding under the D&M Pyramid in Cydonia? Are the nighttime infrared images of the Cydonia Mensae area hidden away in a war room? Why is that area's coverage so restricted and handled like secrets of war? So many questions that the public has, but the major media aren't asking and certainly NASA is not answering.
They're delaying, as long as possible. 36 days and counting... tick...tock...tick...
How long are YOU willing to wait for another MOLA muddled and pole-axed parallaxed CATBOX?
What are YOU going to do about it, America, to end this war on science and the truth?
